A very unusual beaded?necklace from the late Art Deco (ca1920) era! This wonderful?piece is comprised of a strand of rock quartz crystal discs which alternate with small black onyx spacers. Interspersed within the necklace are several round rock quartz crystal beads, which are faceted and separated by black onyx discs at each side.?The beads are all strung on 14kt white gold chain, and the piece comes together at the back with a small spring ring clasp. Attached to the end of the piece is a single rock quartz bead that dangles in the back when the necklace is fastened. The black and clear color scheme has a very fashionable and versatile look that would compliment any ensemble. A one-of-a-kind piece, it makes a very unique and striking statement when worn, and would be an excellent addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 15" long. The faceted beads and discs?vary?in size with the?largest beads measuring 12mm and the smallest measuring 9mm. Each rock quartz crystal disc?has a 3/8" diameter, and the black onyx discs have a 3/16" diameter. The small black onyx spacers measure 1/16" inch.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the the rock quartz crystal or onyx discs, beads, and spacers, all of which are intact. The chain is strong and secure, and the clasp is in good working condition.
